Nigerian dancehall star Patoranking signed a deal with VP Records' distribution arm, VPAL Music, to release his debut album. He is the first African dancehall artist to partner with the world’s largest reggae company.

VP Records has been home to Jamaican dancehall superstars like Sean Paul, Beenie Man, Elephant Man, Lady Saw, Mavado, Busy Signal and many more.

The Buea based duel Vivid (the singer) and Abbz (the rapper). finally released the video of their single "Original Makosa" directed by Dr. Nkeng Stephens of CPE. In the song, the duel is taking us back to the musical flavor that put Cameroon on the map. the song ("Original Makosa" produced by Abbz of  REALM SQUAD) is a pure makosa hit with a touch of urban swag to it!! as the chorus sings
